Construction Set to Begin on Cache River Bridge in Johnson Co.

IDOT – The Illinois Department of Transportation is alerting motorists of upcoming bridge repairs that will get underway tomorrow in Johnson County. According to IDOT there will be repairs to the bridge carrying Illinois 37 over the Cache River just south of West Vienna that will require lane closures beginning at 7am with weather permitting. Traffic will be reduced to one lane and controlled by signals. The bridge repairs should be completed by December 1. An  11′ – 6″ width restriction will be put into effect. Drivers are asked to reduce speed, be alert to equipment and workers and use extreme caution while traveling through all work zones. To avoid any delays motorists should seek an alternate route.
